Axonaut keeps the whole small business in one place. Quotes, invoices, expenses, pipeline, contracts. That is the point of it, and also the reason a simple question takes a few screens. Who still owes us money. Which quotes are stuck.
Connect Axonaut to Perplexity through CorpusIQ and those questions become one line each. Perplexity reads your account when you ask and answers with the records behind the figures.
The problem with the current workflow
The invoice list, the quotation list and the pipeline are separate views. Finding the unpaid invoices means filtering one. Finding quotes awaiting signature means filtering another. Comparing this month's invoiced revenue with last month's means exporting both.
So follow-up slips. A quote sits unsigned for three weeks because nobody had a list of the open ones sorted by value.
How CorpusIQ solves it
CorpusIQ exposes Axonaut to Perplexity through the Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets an AI assistant call external tools. Perplexity can read companies, contacts and suppliers, quotations, invoices and payments, CRM opportunities and events, expenses, products and contracts.
Read-only. The connection uses a read-only API key. Perplexity cannot create or change a quote, invoice or deal.
Live. Each question reads Axonaut when you ask.
Revocable. Revoke the key in Axonaut or disconnect in CorpusIQ.
What to ask
Paste these into Perplexity once Axonaut is connected.
- "Which invoices are still unpaid this month?"
- "What quotations are awaiting a customer signature?"
- "Show me my open opportunities in the pipeline."
- "What expenses did we record by supplier last quarter?"
- "How does this month's invoiced revenue compare to last month?"
- "Which contracts are up for renewal in the next 60 days?"
- "Which companies have the largest unpaid balance?"
Follow-ups work. Ask for the unpaid invoices, pick the largest customer, then ask which quotations that company still has open.
Example report: unpaid invoices
This is the shape of answer you get for the first question. The numbers are illustrative.
Which invoices are still unpaid this month?
- 9unpaid invoicesissued this month
- 18,450total outstandingin euros
- 3invoices past due date
What to act on: Three customers hold most of the balance. Chase the past-due ones first, starting with the largest.

Pair it with a CorpusIQ skill
The connector answers questions. Skills turn the answers into a routine. The Executive Snapshot skill gives a short business health summary from your connected sources, and the Executive Summary Writer skill turns an analysis into a one-page brief for a partner or an accountant.

Where this earns its keep
Small teams that invoice often get the most from it. A weekly pull of unpaid invoices and open quotes gives you a short chase list, and the renewal question catches contracts before they lapse. The expense question by supplier helps at quarter end, when you want to see where the money went without rebuilding a report. One connector, one habit, a few minutes each week.
What to watch out for
Perplexity reports what Axonaut holds, so an invoice marked unpaid stays unpaid until someone records the payment. Revenue comparisons use invoiced amounts, not cash received. Expense answers are only as complete as the expenses you have entered.
