Search Console tells you everything and answers nothing. The Performance report is a filter builder. Finding the pages that matter means stacking query, page, date and device filters, exporting, and sorting in a sheet.
Connect Search Console to Claude through CorpusIQ and the same work becomes one question. Claude reads the report at the moment you ask and returns the answer with the rows behind it.
The problem with the current workflow
The report shows the last 16 months, but only one slice at a time. Comparing two date ranges, isolating queries between position 5 and 15, or checking whether a top landing page is indexed each takes its own set of clicks.
So the questions that would move rankings go unasked. Nobody has time to rebuild the same filters every Monday.
How CorpusIQ solves it
CorpusIQ exposes Search Console to Claude through the Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets an AI assistant call external tools. Claude can read search performance, sitemap status and URL inspection results for any verified site on the connected Google account.
Read-only. Claude cannot submit sitemaps, request indexing or change settings.
Live. Each question reads Search Console when you ask.
Revocable. Disconnect in CorpusIQ or remove access in your Google account.
What to ask
Paste these into Claude once Search Console is connected.
- "Show me queries where I rank between position 5 and 15, sorted by impressions."
- "Which pages have high impressions but a low click-through rate?"
- "What pages lost the most impressions in the last 90 days?"
- "Which queries drove the most clicks last month?"
- "How did mobile clicks compare to desktop last quarter?"
- "Is my top landing page currently indexed?"
- "Did my sitemap process without errors?"
Follow-ups work. Ask for the striking-distance list, pick one page, then ask which queries send it impressions without clicks.
Example report: striking-distance queries
This is the shape of answer you get for the first question. The numbers are illustrative.
Show me queries where I rank between position 5 and 15, sorted by impressions.
- 5queries foundposition 5 to 15
- 13,640impressions combined
- 2.1%average click-through rate
What to act on: The top query has 4,200 impressions at a weak click-through rate. Its title and description are the first thing to rewrite.

Pair it with a CorpusIQ skill
The connector answers questions. Skills turn the answers into a routine. The AI SEO skill works from Search Console performance to suggest which pages to refresh first, and the Competitive Intelligence Brief can set your gaps next to what competitors rank for.

Where this earns its keep
Teams that publish often get the most from it. A weekly striking-distance pull turns Search Console from a report nobody opens into a short list of pages to fix.
What to watch out for
Search Console data lags by about two days. Average position is an average across queries and devices, so read it as a direction, not a rank. Very small sites see sampled or anonymized queries.
