MCP cluster
An MCP server for Grok is a service that implements the Model Context Protocol so Grok can read and reason over external business tools. Grok supports custom MCP connectors over HTTPS. CorpusIQ runs a managed MCP server that exposes 40+ business tools through read-only connectors. You add the CorpusIQ server URL as a custom connector, sign in once, and Grok discovers the tools it can call.

Grok accepts custom MCP connectors that the operator adds by URL. The server has to be reachable over the public internet, and Grok reads the tools it exposes. The CorpusIQ endpoint is public, so no tunneling or local helper is needed: add it as a custom connector, approve the sign-in, and the business tools appear as named surfaces Grok can call during a conversation.
The connection uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE. The CorpusIQ MCP server publishes its discovery documents at /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource and /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server, so a compliant client finds the authorization and token endpoints on its own and no authorization URL has to be configured by hand. You approve the grant once in the browser; the client keeps a scoped token and refreshes it. Revoking the connection in either product ends access.
40+ governed tool surfaces across email, files, chat, finance, commerce, marketing, CRM, and databases. All connector tools are retrieval-only and do not write back to connected systems. The only tools that accept writes are CorpusIQ control-plane tools that manage your own CorpusIQ configuration, never your business data. Retrieval calls return structured records with stable identifiers where available.
Read-only retrieval tools cannot send, modify, move, or delete vendor records. The only tools that accept writes are CorpusIQ control-plane tools, which manage your own CorpusIQ configuration and never write to a connected system. Direct MCP does not retain raw customer files or full connector response payloads; scoped operational logs may persist for up to 30 days. Your AI provider's plan policy governs its conversation handling.
After the sign-in completes, ask Grok a question about a source you already connected, for example the revenue booked last month or the campaign with the best return. A working connection answers with the number and the record it came from. If the tools appear but every answer says there is no data, no source is connected inside CorpusIQ yet, which is fixed on the CorpusIQ side rather than in Grok.
