How to Connect Google Calendar to ChatGPT with CorpusIQ MCP

A calendar is the most accurate record of where a business actually spends its attention. It is also the hardest system to interrogate, because the interface answers one week at a time. Connecting Google Calendar to ChatGPT through CorpusIQ MCP turns the calendar into a dataset: what is booked, who keeps appearing, which commitments repeat, and what a decision is going to cost in hours before it is made.

The calendar arrives through the same Google connection as Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Analytics, Ads and Search Console, so it is one authorization rather than a seventh integration to maintain.

Direct MCP retrieval is read-only and does not retain raw customer files or full connector response payloads; operational query logs are retained for up to 30 days.

What Questions Can You Ask?

  • "What is on my calendar before the board meeting on Thursday?"
  • "How many hours of external meetings did the team have last month, by week?"
  • "Which recurring meetings involve more than six people?"
  • "What did I commit to in my meeting with this customer, and when is the follow-up?"
  • "Find every event with this account in the title over the last six months."
  • "Which days next week have no focus time left?"

FAQ: Common Questions

Is this read-only? Yes. The connector lists calendars, lists upcoming events, retrieves a single event and searches events by text. It cannot create, edit or delete an event, and it cannot invite anyone.
Which calendars can it see? The calendars the connected Google account can already open, including calendars shared with that account. Access follows the account, so a calendar the account cannot open stays out of reach.
Can it read event descriptions and attendees? Event detail is part of the event record, which is why a question like "what did we agree in this meeting" can be answered when the notes were written into the event. Attendee lists are subject to the same read scope as the rest of the event.
Does it answer across Gmail and Calendar? Yes, and that combination is the practical one. "What did the customer ask for by email, and when are we meeting them" is a single question across both surfaces of the same Google connection.
Can it measure meeting load over time? Yes. Ask for a period and a grouping, for example external versus internal, or hours by week. The answer is built from the events themselves, so the quality depends on how consistently the team titles and categorizes its events.
Where is my data stored? CorpusIQ does not retain raw customer files or full connector response payloads. Retrieval happens on demand. Operational query logs may persist for up to 30 days. See our [security documentation](../security/) for the detail.

How It Works

  1. You connect Google in CorpusIQ and approve read access on Google's consent screen for the Google surfaces you want, Calendar included.
  2. You add the CorpusIQ MCP server to ChatGPT. See the Quick Start guide.
  3. ChatGPT discovers the Calendar tools and calls them when a question needs scheduling data.
  4. Answers name the calendar and the event they came from, so a claim can be checked against the entry itself.

Setup Guide

  1. Sign up at corpusiq.io. The 30-day trial needs no credit card.
  2. Connect Google in the dashboard and approve the read scopes, Calendar included.
  3. Connect ChatGPT. Add the CorpusIQ MCP server per the Quick Start guide.
  4. Verify. Ask "what is on my calendar tomorrow" and check it against the calendar.
  5. Explore. Then ask the meeting-load question, which is where the value usually shows up first.
