Slack

What it unlocks

Pull Slack conversations into the answer. Ask what your team discussed about a customer, what was decided in #leadership last Tuesday, or who's been talking about a specific project.

Before you connect

  • A Slack workspace you're a member of.
  • Workspace admins may need to approve third-party apps depending on your settings.
  • About 2 minutes.

How to connect

  1. Open your CorpusIQ dashboard and click Connections.
  2. Find Slack and click Connect.
  1. Choose your Slack workspace if you have more than one.
  2. Review the requested scopes and click Allow.

You'll see Slack change from gray to green in your CorpusIQ dashboard.

What CorpusIQ can see

  • Channels you have access to.
  • Messages searchable by keyword.
  • Threads and replies.
  • File attachments (metadata and searchable text).
  • Workspace info and basic analytics.

Read-only. CorpusIQ never posts, replies, joins channels, or DMs anyone.

Questions you can ask

  • "What did the team say about the Acme deal in Slack?"
  • "Search Slack for 'pricing change'."
  • "Show me the busiest channels this week."
  • "Find any Slack thread mentioning the production incident."

Troubleshooting

  • "App not approved" - your Slack admin has restricted third-party apps. Send them the install link from your dashboard for approval.
  • Private channels missing - CorpusIQ only sees channels the connecting user is a member of. Add yourself to the channel and reconnect.
  • "Couldn't find that message" - Slack search is limited to messages newer than the workspace's retention window.
