Skill From Masters - Domain Expert Methodology Suite Setup - Setup Guide

Skill From Masters builds agent skills from proven expert methodologies rather than generic instructions. It extracts working patterns from domain-expert GitHub repositories and notebooks, then converts them into reusable skills in the open SKILL.md format, so agents inherit battle-tested approaches instead of re-deriving them. The suite ships four skills: the core skill-from-masters builder, a search-skill for locating existing skills, a skill-from-github extractor, and a skill-from-notebook converter for Jupyter-based expert workflows.

Integration with CorpusIQ

CorpusIQ is the connector layer that lets AI assistants read the systems a business already runs on - accounting, payments, CRM, email, files and analytics - and answer with the source named. It is read-only by design: it retrieves data and never writes to, or acts in, a connected system, which is what makes it safe to point at live accounts.

This page is part of the CorpusIQ directory, the reference we maintain for the MCP server and agent-skill ecosystem. Run alongside CorpusIQ, a third-party server like this one can be combined with a company's own business data in a single answer.

Limitations / Verification

  • All four skills target skill authoring and knowledge extraction, with nothing for general agent tasks
  • Per-skill install counts are modest (372 to 754), so community validation is limited
  • Extraction quality depends on the source repo or notebook being well structured
  • Verify: npx skills add gbsoss/skill-from-masters --list shows 4 skills
